Christian Dating Advice - Part 2

This isn’t to say that any dating relationship that isn’t a Christian dating relationship is based on selfish motives, it’s just that when we as Christians date, we put the other person’s needs ahead of our own and we usually have certain boundaries in place to help remind us to protect the heart and interests of the person we are dating.

Now, some might say that this puts us at a disadvantage in terms of getting what we want – but in actuality if you know how to date properly as a Christian you will save yourself and others a lot of unnecessary heartache, while still finding the woman of your dreams.

Dating properly as a Christian will save you soo much time, effort, emotional, spiritual and sometimes even physical trauma that everyone should follow the guidelines that are laid out for you as a Christian who is dating.

I know that for many, this is easier said than done, as Christian dating advice is often misunderstood, confusing due to conflicting advice, or in some cases too general to really be of use.

And that’s why David King wrote his book “How to Find the Woman of Your Dreams”  - to give you the practical steps and guidelines you need to follow in order to find the woman of your dreams and grow closer to the Lord at the same time. Christian Dating Advice

Christian dating can be seen as more difficult that regular dating – but in actuality, it saves you more trouble than if you are to date regularly.

The intention if dating as a Christian is to find a life partner. And it is because of this that that there are differences between how we date as Christians and how others date.

As Christians, when we enter into a dating relationship, we do so with the intention (or at least the somewhat serious realization) of marriage. Now, that’s not to say that you have to be 100 percent certain that you are going to marry the person you are wanting to go out with – it just means that you feel there is the possibility of marriage. As Christians we don’t date people flippantly, as we treat people as we would like to be treated, and if you date for any reason that to consider this person as a life partner, you risk really hurting them as you try to fulfill your selfish motives and desires,

This is probably one of the biggest differences between how Christians date as opposed to how non Christians tend to date.

As a Christian, you want to enter into this kind of relationship keeping in mind that if you don’t end up marrying this person, someone else will, so please, respect them and the boundaries that you need to set as a Christian so that both of you will still be pure when you meet your spouse and get married.
